The Kathleen Strong Band offers an eclectic blend of Blues, Swing, blended with a little early Rock and Roll, and the Motown sound. The Kathleen Strong Band sound has been described as the “Blues with a splash of soul”.
Guitarist and Singer-songwriter Stephen Paul Wallace adds an American Roots Music flavor to the band. Stephen also shares the lead vocals spot and provides the harmonies.
Ben Herman's driving bass lines along with the New Orleans influenced and west coast swing percussions created by Steve Finnestead gives the music a serious depth from the rhythm section.
When added to the Jazz and funk infused keyboard accompaniment of Ken Stockton and Kathleen Strong’s distinctive vocal, the Kathleen Strong Band will give any blues lover that backstreet blues house feeling.
This mixture of genres has earned The Kathleen Strong Band a dedicated following in Northern Colorado.
