Funk bass lines along with the New Orleans influenced and west coast swing percussion lines gives the music a serious depth from the rhythm section. Add the American Roots and jazz guitar stylings with the funk infused keyboard accompaniment and you have a powerhouse band for Kathleen Strong’s distinctive vocal.

Raised in a home where music was always encouraged, Kathleen has been singing informally since an early age. She studied classical guitar at the age of 11 years and played rhythm and bass guitar in high school jazz band.
While singing in many school and community choirs and listening to strong female vocal influences such as Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones, Diana Krall and Susan Tedeschi, it became clear that Kathleen would find her passion as a soulful solo vocalist.
Kathleen Strong’s distinctive vocal will give any blues lover that backstreet blues house feeling. |
